- Description
- Due to a number of upcoming Infrastructure and cloud projects, an opportunity has arisen for a Cloud Engineer to join an expanding Infrastructure team to manage the client's cloud footprint with the Microsoft cloud platform (O365, D365, and Microsoft Azure). This will include monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing development.
As the role sits within the Cloud team, there will also be a general responsibility for providing technical support to assist the service desk and infrastructure team.
Due to the size and complexity of the environment, the desired candidate will have experience working in medium to enterprise-scale environments working with ITIL and Prince 2 or Agile frameworks.
Technical skills required
Experience with Azure AD and Windows Active Directory preferably with O365 Hybrid environments and Mimecast services.
Strong understanding of infrastructure fundamentals: IP services (DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, IPv6), PKI & networking concepts.
Experience with the configuration and support of MS Intune
Strong scripting and PowerShell skills.
Knowledge of VPN/LAN/WAN and Cloud networking technologies.
Proficient in configuration and support of Microsoft Servers (preferably up to 2022)
Thorough understanding of design and operational concepts related to Cloud infrastructures (upgrades, migrations, backup, restore, DR, patching, anti-virus, systems management, monitoring, security, and reporting).
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform products.
Proficient in configuration, design & support of Microsoft AX 2012 & Dynamics 365 Sales and Finance (desirable)
Responsibilities
You will be involved in projects and the deployment of new applications and software.
Implementation and migration of applications and services to cloud-based PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS products, including optimising technical reliability and improving application performance.
Work closely with the Development team and 3rd parties to define suitable services to be deployed in Azure; including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS as options.
Assess usage and utilization trends to make appropriate recommendations toward scaling our Cloud environments.
Manage infrastructure costs in Cloud and Hybrid environments, perform scripting, and assist in the creation of future-proof Cloud implementations.
Planning, designing, and developing a Cloud environment with the use of Office 365 and Azure services. Ensuring that the company's first strategy has focus and momentum.
Accreditation to vendor level for Azure and O365products (advantageous)
Reporting into – Head of Infrastructure
Location – 3 days office, 2 days remote (New London HQ offices – located near Monument/Cannon St station)
Salary - £55,000
