Data Steward Manager – Liverpool (6-Month FTC)

Our client, a leading law firm in central Liverpool, is seeking a Data Steward Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract to provide interim support for the team during a key team member’s absence. This role will focus on organising workloads, supporting delivery, and acting as an escalation point for the Data Steward team—making strong project management and coordination skills more critical than deep technical data expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities for the Data Steward team, ensuring priorities and deadlines are met.
- Act as the main point of contact and escalation for team queries and issues.
- Support the delivery of ongoing data-related projects, working to an existing strategy and project plan.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Risk, Finance, and Business Development functions to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Uphold data governance practices and support data quality objectives without requiring deep technical data expertise.
- Work closely with the Head of Risk, who will retain responsibility for formal performance reviews and appraisals.
Skills & Experience Needed:
- Proven experience in project or team management, preferably in a professional services or legal environment.
- A solid understanding of data processes and governance, with the ability to support a team of data specialists.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
