Description

Are you ready to lead change at the heart of legal tech?

If you're passionate about optimising platforms and building future-focused capabilities like automation and DevOps, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

The Opportunity

We’re supporting a mid-tier law firm with a strong presence near Chancery Lane in the search for an Application Manager.
This is a permanent position offering £80,000–£87,000, with flexible hybrid working (2–3 days in the office). You'll lead the application platforms function, managing critical systems and a small team of specialists, with scope to innovate and make tangible improvements across the firm's technology estate.

Why Consider This Role?

  • You'll have ownership of a diverse application landscape, including a modern Document Management System.

  • Play a strategic role in scaling automation, DevOps, and integration initiatives.

  • Be part of a collaborative and inclusive culture that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Enjoy flexibility, a strong benefits package, and the chance to influence key IT decisions across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and mentoring a team of application specialists.

  • Managing the application portfolio and ensuring alignment with business strategy.

  • Overseeing integration between platforms, and collaborating with the Data team to maintain accuracy and accessibility.

  • Driving forward DevOps maturity and working closely with external development partners.

  • Introducing and enhancing robotics and automation capabilities (e.g. Power Automate, UiPath).

  • Acting as the technical liaison between IT functions, vendors, and the wider business.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in managing enterprise applications (ideally within legal or professional services).

  • Strong technical understanding of DevOps, automation tools, and document management systems.

  • A strategic thinker who’s also comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting hands-on.

  • Confident communicator and collaborator who can engage with technical teams and business stakeholders alike.

  • Certifications in areas like ITIL, Agile, or DevOps would be a bonus.
