Cloud Platform Architect
Central London, near Liverpool Street - hybrid working | £115,000 - £130.000 (depending on experience) + excellent benefits package and discretionary bonus
If you're already the person who owns a cloud platform roadmap, not just advises on one, this is worth five minutes of your time.
You'll join the technology leadership team at a leading global professional services organisation as a hands-on Cloud Platform Architect, owning the roadmap for a business-critical Azure platform, while still personally designing architecture on live projects. You'll work directly with CTO, COO and CIO-level stakeholders, shaping investment decisions rather than just presenting to them, with real autonomy over how the platform and the teams around it evolve. You'll get scope to lead from the front, not just sign things off.
What you'll need:
- A proven background working as a Cloud Platform Architect (or equivalent senior cloud architecture role).
- Demonstrable experience in strategy as well as designing and owning multi-year cloud platform roadmaps.
- Expert-level Azure cloud architecture knowledge, holding Azure certifications. Candidates holding AWS or GCP certifications would also be considered if the person still has strong knowledge of Azure.
- Experience working with C-level stakeholders on budgets, investment cases or FinOps.
- Comfortable providing validation, assurance and governance, while still producing architecture designs personally.
- Experience leading matrixed teams of architects and engineers.
- Experience working in large scale enterprise environments.
About the firm: A leading global professional services organisation with a genuine international footprint, investing heavily in cloud and AI to modernise how it works. Technology here is a business enabler, not back-office support, and this platform sits right at the centre of that.
