Description

Are you an experienced Programme Manager who has successfully delivered major cloud or data centre migration programmes?

We are recruiting an Azure Programme Manager to lead a significant cloud transformation programme for a leading international professional services organisation. You will take ownership of the migration from on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, working closely with a third-party technology partner, internal IT teams and senior stakeholders.

Azure Programme Manager - Chancery Lane, London - Up to £110,000 - 6-month fixed-term contract

What’s on offer:

  • Salary up to £110,000

  • 6-month fixed-term contract

  • Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the London office

  • Ownership of a major Azure cloud migration programme

  • Delivery of significant infrastructure change with programme values ranging from £500k to £3m

  • Senior stakeholder exposure across the organisation

  • Opportunity to play a pivotal role in a business-critical digital transformation

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the migration from on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure

  • Owning programme planning, governance, budgets, milestones, scope and delivery

  • Working closely with a third-party technology partner responsible for technical leadership

  • Coordinating internal IT teams, suppliers and business stakeholders

  • Managing significant infrastructure change projects and programmes valued between £500k and £3m

  • Developing comprehensive project plans and tracking delivery against agreed milestones

  • Managing programme budgets with clear and transparent cost reporting

  • Identifying and mitigating risks, issues and dependencies

  • Managing third-party suppliers against contractual requirements

  • Reporting programme status, risks and progress to senior management

  • Tracking expected benefits and ensuring programme objectives remain achievable

  • Supporting PMO governance across the wider technology portfolio

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 5 years’ project or programme management experience within infrastructure transformation

  • Proven experience managing data centre migrations into hybrid cloud environments

  • Good understanding of Azure and cloud deployments

  • Strong experience managing third-party technology suppliers

  • Experience delivering complex, high-value infrastructure programmes

  • Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to discuss technical concepts confidently without needing to be a hands-on technical specialist

  • Familiarity with data centres, networking, Active Directory, unified communications, security and Azure or AWS would be advantageous

  • PRINCE2 or a similar recognised project management qualification is desirable

  • Agile delivery experience would also be beneficial

This role is primarily about programme leadership rather than hands-on Azure engineering. You’ll need to bring structure, governance and commercial control while ensuring internal teams and external partners successfully deliver the migration.

If you have delivered complex cloud migration programmes and are available for a 6-month FTC, we’d be keen to hear from you. Apply today for further details.
