A global professional services organisation is looking for a SQL Applications Systems Engineer to support and optimise enterprise SQL Server environments and the applications that rely on them. This role sits within the IT systems team and focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across key platforms used throughout the business.

This is a fully remote position with occasional travel to the London office.

• Salary: £85,000–£95,000


• Location: Fully remote with occasional London travel

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimise Microsoft SQL Server environments


• Install, configure, and support SQL Server technologies including replication, mirroring, and AlwaysOn


• Diagnose and resolve database performance issues


• Develop advanced SQL queries and stored procedures


• Design and maintain integrations between business systems


• Support document management and associated enterprise applications


• Deliver data analysis and reporting solutions using SQL Server BI tools and Power BI


• Assist with architecture decisions, upgrades, and system customisations


• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and operational procedures


• Support application owners and internal technology teams

• Azure SQL


• Windows Server

• IntApp / Boomi


• Litera Compare


• PowerShell, Python, .NET or C# (beneficial)
