Legal Technology & Innovation Manager
We are partnering with a leading independent London law firm to recruit a Legal Technology & Innovation Manager to join their innovative Legal Tech team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional to drive the adoption of legal technology and AI across the firm, working closely with lawyers, partners, and clients to deliver transformative solutions.
About the Role:
As a Legal Technology & Innovation Manager, you will play a key role in shaping how the firm delivers legal services in a technology-driven world. You will collaborate with practice groups to identify opportunities, develop pilots, roll out solutions, and implement client-facing innovations. You will manage projects end-to-end, ensuring that technology is embedded into processes to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and client experience.
Your work will cover a wide range of legal technologies, including:
- AI and Generative AI (e.g., Harvey, Legora, Microsoft Copilot, Kira)
- Document automation (e.g., Contract Express, HighQ)
- Process automation & robotics (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism)
- Knowledge management and collaboration platforms (e.g., HighQ, SharePoint)
- Data analytics and visualisation (e.g., PowerBI)
- Expert systems (e.g., Neota Logic, Bryter, Power Automate)
Candidate Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will bring a combination of legal expertise, technology experience, and strong stakeholder management skills:
- PQE-qualified lawyer, or 5+ years’ experience working closely with lawyers, partners, and senior management
- Proven hands-on delivery of legal technology solutions, with AI/GenAI exposure a strong advantage
- Credibility and confidence in fee-earner-facing environments, including leading workshops and discussions
- Experience mentoring and supervising junior colleagues
- Strong project management skills and familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma
- Practical focus on Legal Tech adoption and embedding solutions into day-to-day legal workflows
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Passion for innovation and a keen interest in emerging technologies
