- Description
Business Analyst
London | £75,000 | Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office
Are you a Business Analyst who enjoys solving problems where the answer is not already defined?
We are working with a leading global law firm that is building a new Legal Technology capability focused on improving how lawyers work, simplifying processes and getting more value from technology.
This is not a traditional Business Analyst role where every project arrives with a defined scope and expected outcome. You will work on emerging ideas, proof of concepts, AI pilots and iterative improvements, helping the business understand the problem before deciding what the solution should be.
What’s on offer:
- £75,000 salary
- Hybrid working with 2 days per week in the London office
- Opportunity to join a newly created, high-profile Legal Tech team
- Exposure to AI, automation and wider digital innovation
- Senior-level visibility and sponsorship
- Flexible benefits including pension, private medical insurance, dental cover, season ticket loan, subsidised gym membership, holiday trading and cycle-to-work scheme
What will you be doing?
Your primary goal will be to identify opportunities that deliver genuine value and efficiency for legal and business teams.
You will:
- Work closely with lawyers and business services teams to understand how they work and where the real problems sit
- Analyse and map legal workflows, identifying opportunities to simplify processes and maximise existing technology
- Challenge assumptions and help stakeholders define the problem before jumping to a technology solution
- Identify pragmatic opportunities for AI, automation and digital improvement
- Support proof of concepts and pilots, defining what success looks like and assessing whether ideas genuinely deliver value
- Gather and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements
- Create user stories, backlogs and support iterative delivery
- Work alongside Legal Tech, IT, PMO, data and architecture teams
- Facilitate workshops, demonstrations and stakeholder discussions
- Balance innovation and experimentation with data privacy, governance, legal privilege and responsible AI
- Keep abreast of developments across Legal Tech and emerging technology
What are we looking for?
You will be an experienced Business Analyst who is comfortable operating without all the answers.
You should bring:
- Strong Business Analysis experience within a complex organisation
- Excellent process analysis, discovery and requirements gathering skills
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and challenging constructively
- Experience delivering change iteratively in Agile environments
- Exposure to technology transformation, automation, AI or Legal Tech
- An understanding of proof of concepts, pilots and experimentation
- The ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A pragmatic mindset focused on business outcomes rather than technology for technology’s sake
- Strong communication, workshop facilitation and relationship-building skills
Legal sector experience would be valuable, but equally important is the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders and become a trusted partner between the business and technology teams.
If you enjoy getting underneath complex problems, testing ideas and delivering technology-led change that creates measurable value, we’d like to hear from you.
