Data Platform Engineer
Are you a Snowflake expert who enjoys building high-performance data platforms that directly power business decisions?
We’re working with a global organisation looking for a Snowflake Data Engineer to join their Data Services team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role focuses on designing scalable data models, optimising performance, and delivering robust pipelines that feed into business-critical reporting.
The role:
- Salary £85,000 - £95,000
- 12-month FTC
- Hybrid working – 2 days in the London office
- Open to candidates across the UK with occasional travel if based outside London

Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement dimensional data models in Snowflake
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory
- Optimise Snowflake performance and cost efficiency
- Develop transformation workflows with strong testing and version control practices
- Manage RBAC and data security within Snowflake
- Support the Power BI reporting layer with high-quality data models
- Contribute to engineering standards and CI/CD practices
Key skills and experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and optimisation
- Proven experience with Azure Data Factory for orchestration
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in production-grade data environments
Soft skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality
- Collaborative and proactive mindset
- Ability to work independently within a hybrid environment
