- 4 x Business Analyst positions – 6-month contract – Up to £500 per day (Inside IR35) or up to £75,000 on a 12-month FTC basis
Location: London City/ hybrid WFH 1-2 days PW
Working for a high-profile, top tier, prestigious law firm located the City; You will be joining a collaborative team and will be working on the firms ambitious portfolio of new projects/programmes to be delivered over the coming two years.
The firm is in the early/mid stages of replacing its Practice Management System (Finance System) and will also be replacing/upgrading/integrating associated systems eg Time Recording system, Expenses, conflicts/New Business Intake, Records system and also MDM projects. To support this programme, the firm are hiring an additional 4 Business Analysts. You will be expected to work on several multiple concurrent projects throughout the full project lifecycle. As a business analyst your responsibilities will include; Requirements definition (defining, analysing, documenting and interpreting business requirements), market evaluation, selection, configuration, training, testing, implementation, change management, and post-implementation road-mapping and review.
Your previous project experience should be broad, and business and IT focused, gained over a minimum of the last 2 years in the Legal or Professional Services sectors in a Business Analyst role.
You should be able to work autonomously at times so you will need to be comfortable creating your own direction but at times working as a team with other Project Managers and Business Analysts to deliver on a larger overall objective.
You will spend your time:
- Gathering and understanding business requirements and ideas and translating them into clearly articulated definitions / mandates for projects/tender documents
- You will work with technical teams to ensure solutions will meet the business expectations
- Assist with the production of business cases, e.g. identifying costs, benefits, impacts and risks
- Designing and delivering stakeholder workshops with all levels of stakeholders right to C-Suite level
- Strong business analysis skills including document analysis, process mapping and data analysis
- Produce and maintain clear, quality documentation that accurately, comprehensively, and consistently captures and articulates requirements, for example business requirements definitions, requirements catalogues and process maps
- Work with the other Business Analysts, Project Managers and central Project Management Officein accordance with the firm's project management methodology
Skills and Experience Required:
- Exceptional communication skills will be paramount as well as a diplomatic approach to problem-solving
- An experienced Business Analyst with demonstrable experience working in the legal or professional sectors with at least 2 years’ experience
- Microsoft Systems or Legal Systems will be preferable (Elite 3e, iManage, Intapp, Expenses Systems)
- Extensive exposure to senior stakeholders (C-level/board level) is required
- Formal Business Analysis qualification (BCS/IIBA preferrable)
