- Working for a high-profile professional services firm in the City; You will be joining a newly established, collaborative, business focused PMO and will be a key player in establishing credible relationships for the team across other areas of the business and will run requirements gathering and people engagement activities on high-profile global programmes.
Your projects experience should be broad, and very business focused, gained over at least 4 years in the Legal or Professional Services sectors. It will be advantageous if you have managed projects because of fast company growth such as Outsourcing; Offshoring; Team Restructures; Organisational Design; Flexible/Agile Working; Marketing; Data (enterprise wide) and Process Change and where new systems and technology will have had a significant impact on ways of working for senior business users, Executives and Partners.
You will be delivery focussed, pragmatic, and flexible in your approach. Your communication skills will be paramount, and have the ability communicate to diverse global stakeholders across the business, including those in C-suite positions.
You should be able to work autonomously at times so you will need to be comfortable creating your own direction but at times working as a team with other Project Managers and Business Analysts to deliver on a larger overall objective.
You will spend your time:
· Gathering and understanding business requirements and ideas and translating them into clearly articulated definitions / mandates for projects
· You will work with technical teams to ensure solutions will meet the business expectations
· Assist with the production of business cases, e.g. identifying costs, benefits, impacts and risks
· Designing and delivering stakeholder workshops
· Strong business analysis skills including document analysis, process mapping, structured questioning, gap analysis and mind mapping, (e.g. the ability to map and capture / define processes) are therefore essential
· The role will help to manage the intake process for new operational change (be it projects or other initiatives), ensuring that it is effective and fully embedded in the business
· Produce and maintain clear, quality documentation that accurately, comprehensively, and consistently captures and articulates requirements, for example business requirements definitions, requirements catalogues and process maps
· Work with the other Business Analysts, Project Managers and central Project Management Office to establish a standard approach to business analysis as part of the firm's project management methodology
Skills and Experience Required:
· An experienced Business Analyst with demonstrable experience working in the legal or professional sectors in a comparable role
· Must have a varied project background – it will be hard to justify utilising a product/system specialist as may be working on different projects in difference business areas
· Extensive experience working for corporate/global organisations
· Extensive exposure to senior stakeholders (C-level/board level) is required
· Formal Business Analysis or Project management qualification (Prince2/APMP/ISEB etc)
Exceptional communication skills and a diplomatic approach to problem-solving
