Exciting opportunity for Infrastructure Analysts!

One of the top accountancy firms in the UK is looking for an experienced infrastructure operations analyst to join their growing IT team based from their Bristol office.
You should have a good experience with troubleshooting and problem solving issues within a busy IT department. Excellent customer service, organisational and prioritization skills are important and ideally a couple of years' experience within a corporate organization.

The role
This position provides exposure to a broad range of IT infrastructure activities and projects, mainly BAU support.
You will help to improve the firms’ systems, procedures and knowledge base by supplying and collaborating with others. You will be the primary escalation point from the Service Desk to the Infrastructure team, along with monitoring and supporting the existing infrastructure including server, storage, network, data and applications.
Your typical tasks will include:
  • Monitoring the health of systems, whilst recommending enhance to improve dedicated and reactive response
  • Deliver third line support and infrastructure projects
  • Administer the corporate infrastructure
  • Recommend improved IT infrastructure systems
  • Solve and resolve complex issues
  •  
Your responsibilities:
  • Main point of contact for incidents escalated from the IT Service Desk team
  • Prioritising of escalated incidents
  • Primary responsibility for monitoring the health of systems across the firm,
  • Primary responsibility improving the monitoring of systems across the firm,
  • Mentor, coach and assist members of the Service Desk team
  • Administer corporate infrastructure, including Active Directory, LAN, Internet access, firewalls and Exchange 2010+\Office 365
  • Administer the VMware vSphere 6.5+ Infrastructure
  • Administer the software application and desktop operating system deployment environment using Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager
  • Administer the Avaya IP 500 VOIP telephone system
  • Monitor and solve server and network performance
  • Administer\Monitor backup and disaster recovery systems and processes
  • Keep operational documentation up-to-date for those areas of responsibility

Hours\Travel
Monday to Friday, 35 hour week, working the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm (the service desk operates from 8am – 6pm). However to allow for holiday cover, project delivery, system updates, etc there might be the requirement to change to an alternative shift or complete overtime outside of the core hours.
