Infrastructure Engineer
About you
You will be responsible for the analysis, design and engineering work related to the implementation requests from within the Infrastructure Project Delivery functions.
This is predominantly project delivery focussed, with some support elements, therefore, a deep technical knowledge is required with respect to core infrastructure and cloud technology.
The Infrastructure Engineer must be passionate about technology, solution driven and enjoy collaborating as part of a Design and Delivery team.
Your Responsibilities
- Investigate installations not achieving design aim or business requirement and make recommendations for remediation.
- Provide technical expertise to enable the configuration of software, other system components and equipment for the systematic testing of platform specific versions of software products
- Defines the software modules, ensuring that they meet the defined criteria
- Installs, organises the disposal or removal of hardware and/or software
Technical skills required
- This role requires experience of working in a medium to large multi-site organisation.
- 3rd Line project delivery and support
- Azure/AWS cloud technical questions
- O365, AD, VMWare – cloud and on-prem experience
- Windows server experience
- Troubleshooting complex Hardware, software, and networks.
- Firewall, powershell, storage, security experience would be advantageous
Soft skills
- Strong communication skills/ability to influence and steer stakeholders.
This opportunity is a 100% project focused, the client is open to someone who has some project exposure but wishes to make a transition.
Typical projects include - office moves/changes, on-prem to cloud migrations, server upgrades
Salary: £45-50,000
Location – Agile working environment 1 day p/w onsite, 4 days remote
Hours – 9:00 – 5:00pm
