IT Network & Telephony Engineer, London

An international law firm based in the city is looking for an IT Network & Telephony Engineer to join their IT Infrastructure team supporting all networking, security and telephony systems within the company.                                                                                                                                                                                        This role is particularly suited to someone with a telecommunications engineering background, who has maybe worked as a field engineer in telephony and later has moved on to support large scale Cisco networks and Cisco IP telephony systems.
Key activities/ responsibilities:
  • Experienced networking and telephony expert, preferably in legal sector 4 + years
  • Help to create/maintain/update all documentation relating to WFW networks and systems relating to their LAN/WAN/Internet services
  • Help to maintain and support Wireless networking solution  (Aerohive) in all their offices
  • Work very closely with the other IT teams in co-operative projects
  • Work with global IT team to provide troubleshooting support to users
  • Travel to international offices if required
               
Essential skills:
  • CCNP level of certification or higher
  • Excellent knowledge of Cisco Call Manager, Call manager Express and telephony consols such as Cicso QUAC, IPFX and UCCX.
  • LAN and MPLS WAN
  • BGP and OSPF
  • Wireless Networking
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Microsoft server operating systems, E-mail server systems and server virtualisation (VMWare)
Desirable skills:
  • SD-WAN
  • AeroHive wireless network
  • Firewalls (MS UAG, Cisco and checkpoint)
  • Riverbed
  • NetScaler ADC
  • Skype for Business
  • Creston and Polycon
Qualifications/ Affiliations Required:
  • A Cisco Professional qualification ( CCNP/CCNP collaboration/former CCVP qualification) - required
  • A Certification in CheckPoint or other Firewall technologies (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto) – desirable
