- IT Cutover Transition Planner – Global Desktop Refresh Project
Up to £425/day

A top-tier professional services firm renowned for its innovative technology approach has a major programme underway, changing work processes and enabling better mobile working for their 6000+ global employees. The client is looking for a Cutover Transition Planner (Project Planner) with excellent planning skills and a high attention to detail to plan and track the cutover for rolling out a hardware / desktop upgrade (laptops, desktops, mobile) for 6000 users in 40+ international offices. This role is reporting into the Global Programme Delivery Lead and working closely with 4 work-stream specific Project Managers.
About the role:- Responsible for the detailed planning of the cutover period for a major desktop migration / desktop transformation project including an upgrade to Win10
- Responsible for developing and maintaining consistent set of roll-out plans, processes, documentation etc. with individually tailored plans for each region/office
- Develop detailed step-by-step run books for cutover / go-live weekends
- Develop and maintain highly detailed documentation in Excel spreadsheets
Experience required:- Proven experience in planning, documenting and coordinating the delivery of a global hardware roll-out and/or hardware refresh project
- Proven experience planning large scale international transitions (+3000 users) across multiple countries, continents and time zones.
- Windows 10 roll-out experience is desirable, however, candidates with Windows 7 and Office 365 experience will also be considered for the role
Essential:- Highly detail oriented
- Flexible and dynamic attitude towards necessary changes in the project planning as the project progresses
- Excellent communication skills with ability to confidently engage with stakeholders of all levels and able to build strong relationships
- Excellent / Super User level in MS Excel and MS Project (or Primavera etc)
- Potential for working flexible hours / weekends if necessary
- Experience of working within a process-driven PMO environment (Prince2)
