Central London
Pivotal Senior BA role for a leading law firm – working with senior stakeholders on a high-profile project with influence over business architecture. The aim of the role is to reverse engineer, document and analyse an application developed in-house that helps the firm provide services to the financial institutions amongst their client base. The tool allows evaluation, comparison and analysis of contracts, so candidates with knowledge of similar functionality often found within eProcurement systems could hold an advantage.
The object is to create a polished, scalable application which can be formally incorporated into the firm's service offering (incorporating change to business capability and, to a degree, corporate strategy).
This role would suit a candidate with experience of both the legal and financial services sectors (MUST have at least one or the other).
General requirements:- Requirements Engineering
- Technical background (Systems Development / Systems Analysis) or high level of technical understanding
- Knowledge of banking regulations
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Legal sector / law firm experience highly desirable (in-house legal for an investment bank even better)
- Strong understanding of organisational and business models
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the business
- Consulting mindset, allowing you to support business strategy development
- Ability to influence and shape thinking
- Ability to oversee and conduct capability impact assessments and future state definitions
- Understanding of Agile and waterfall
- Extensive experience with the full life cycle of business analysis (e.g. scoping; requirement gathering; testing; implementation
